Claire Warden: Talking and Thinking Floorbook -  Out of School Hours Care Project

Expression of interest now open! Places are limited.

A collaboration between the Department for Education, Clare Warden and Gowrie SA is providing a unique opportunity for OSHC services to be involved in a project exploring quality area 1 – Educational program and Practice through the Floorbook Approach.

This project aims to:

  • Build capacity of educators’ around the cycle of planning, documentation and involving children in documentation processes.
  • Provide a range of learning opportunities including mentoring, workshops, networking and bringing professionals together to share experiences over time.

Hands on Science: Embedding science into your curriculum for 3 and 4 year olds

This session will give you some practical ideas so that you can scaffold children’s learning dispositions and build a love of science and discovery. Chemistry, physics and biology are big words, but even young children can engage in rich scientific learning, through holistic approaches to planning, and engaging learning environments.

Developed by an expert partnership between Lady Gowrie Child Centres located in NSW, QLD, SA, TAS and VIC, the Theory into Practice sessions cover a wide variety of stimulating topics.
