Challenging our bias around race and culture
The Black Lives Matter movement is helping to focus worldwide attention on ‘structural racism’ – the sorts of inequalities which are built into the systems and practices of our society.
This training is aimed at anyone who wishes to challenge their own biases around issues of race and culture, and welcomes people at any stage of their learning.
We aim to give people practical tools to help them think through and act differently around issues such as becoming an ally to others, challenging injustice, and understanding our own part in institutionalised inequality.
Note that this training is primarily aimed at white educators, who are likely to know least about these issues. People of colour are very welcome in the training, however, and your lived experience of racism will provide a valuable contribution to our collective learning.
