Floorbooks - Planning with and for children
‘The strength of a Floorbook itself lies in its flexibility, while having core features that elevate it from being a scrapbook to a Floorbook’ (Claire Warden, 2021, p. 8). Join Briony Brooks, Early Years Education Consultant with 25 years of experience in early childhood, in this introductory session about the benefits of using Floorbooks as an intentional pedagogical process to plan with and for children. When educators use relational and place based pedagogies, and combine this with Floorbooks as a vehicle to document the learning and the teaching, educator teams will develop curriculum that is relevant to children and families in their local context.
