‘Becoming’ a new director - 4 part series

This session will be split across 4 sessions (dates listed below) each 3 hours long via zoom, 9:30am - 12:30pm for all sessions.

‘Becoming’ a new director is exciting and challenging. What are some of the important things you need to know, be and think about? How do you balance all the demands of this role? We will introduce you to some of the theories of leadership which will give you a strong base for your reflective decisions. Find out about the responsibilities of directors, how to manage your time, connect with resources available for support and build your professional network. We can set you off on a successful journey and ensure you have access to the tools and information needed as a beginning director.

7.1 Meet professional ethics and responsibilities
Meet codes of ethics and conduct established by regulatory authorities, systems and schools
7.2 Comply with legislative, administrative and organisational requirements
Understand the implications of and comply with relevant legislative, administrative, organisational and professional requirements, policies and processes.
7.4 Engage with professional teaching networks and broader communities
Participate in professional and community networks and forums to broaden knowledge and improve practice.
