Teach-Do-Learn© – Parenting Program – Family and Parenting Support

Program description

The Teach-Do-Learn (TDL) Parenting Program provides targeted and practical hands-on guidance to increase parent, guardian or foster carer capabilities with a focus on quality early development and learning experiences for children centred on the Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) Development Domains.

Parents and carers will come together to learn from each other and strengthen relationships with their children by engaging in activities with the support of qualified and experienced early childhood educators. There is also direct and regular access to and practical guidance and support from guest allied health professionals to support children’s communication, language, physical, emotional and social development. Allied health practitioners involved include speech pathologists, play therapists, occupational therapists and experts from Raising Literacy Australia. The aim of the program is to provide a soft early intervention referral pathway for families. Each professional shares everyday experiences for families to implement to enhance development across all AEDC domains.
