Program description

Naming is a gift is a program that supports you to use the Marte Meo approach to deepen your reflections on interactions during everyday moments with children. 

The sessions are designed to offer theoretical insights on the Marte Meo approach. Your practical skills will be refined when you review your interactions and relational pedagogies with guided analysis and support. Marte Meo uses plain language and accessible steps to help you to develop skills to support children’s learning and development. 

How the program is delivered

This program is delivered in-person or online and has been designed as a 6-part series including:

  • Session 1 x 2 hours – Theory and key ideas
  • Session 2 x 2 hours – Video collection of current practice
  • Session 3 x 2 hours – Video analysis, examples, and reflections
  • Session 4 x 2 hours – Holistic ways to support development
  • Session 5 x 2 hours – Video analysis, examples, and reflections
  • Session 6 x 2 hours – Holistic ways to support development

Expected outcomes for this program are:

• understanding of social skill development in early childhood

• ability to implement strategies to support social skill development

• integration of play based learning to enhance communication

• connections between learning opportunities and the environment

Cost

The program is delivered for $2,800 per group.

If the program is delivered in-person, additional travel charges will apply.
