Engagement and involvement
Do we say children are engaged when actually they are being compliant? Do we disrupt a child deeply involved in learning because of the next routine in the day? When educators are familiar with the clear and observable signals of engagement, they can assess how involved children are in their current learning, in order to make decisions about when and how to join with them to further extend the quality of the experience. Come along to this session to learn what engagement looks like and how this might impact your daily work with children. Suitable for educators working with children from birth – 12.
