Floorbooks - Key strategies to amplify learning
‘Four key influences shape how a learning environment structures experiences and opportunities for children: the time available, the space available, the resources available and, of course, the adult and the role they play’ (Claire Warden, 2022, p. 63). Join Briony Brooks, Early Years Education Consultant with 25 years of experience in early childhood, in this session as we explore the three main strategies that make the most difference to the content of a floorbook. The adult is pivotal in all of them and adopts slightly different roles when intentionally using the strategies of ‘Talking Tubs’, ‘3D Mind mapping’ and ‘Questioning’.
