Intentionality through Play

The EYLF talks about play-based learning as the intentional roles that both children and educators may take in children’s learning, but how can educators ensure that they are intentional with their practice and in supporting playful learning in the program?  In this session, we will explore the many roles of the educator in setting up, facilitating and engaging in children’s play, as well as how educators can be intentional not just in the programmed activities and group times, but in the spontaneous experiences of the day as well.  We will also unpack intentional teaching strategies and discuss how to be intentional with our expectations with children.
