Through the eyes of an Elder: Exploring Peramangk culture
Peramangk is the language of the Mount Lofty region. It lies east of the Kaurna language and west of Ngarrindjeri and the River Murray languages.
Come and join Uncle Ivan Copley, a Senior Peramangk and Kaurna Elder as he shares his knowledge of Peramangk language, history and culture. Participate in a culturally significant walk close to the venue and then spend the afternoon planning how to authentically weave culture into your work with children.
Facilitators: Uncle Ivan Tiwi-Copley and Mary Scales
Venue: Adelaide Hills Convention Centre, 145A Mount Barker Road, Hahndorf
*Lunch and guided cultural walk included.
