The commonly asked questions: ‘Where do I start? I don’t want to get it wrong’, are usually quickly followed by ‘I am just so scared to be tokenistic in my approach’.

All these comments can immobilise us as educators not to explore and embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultures into our Programs.

In this session you will learn how to weave Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, educational philosophies and child rearing practices in a meaningful and authentic way.

Special guest - Uncle Ivan-Tiwu Copley who will come and share knowledge of Kaurna history and culture.

Uncle Ivan-Tiwu Copley is a Kaurna and Peramangk man who demonstrates a great commitment to reconciliation by sharing his wealth of knowledge about culture and Aboriginal histories and perspectives.
